Where a Weidian order goes wrong, and what it costs
Almost nobody loses money on a first order because they were scammed. They lose it because they bought a heavy thing they did not want, or because the parcel contained something a plane will not carry, or because they clicked through the QC photos in four seconds.
Six of them, in rough order of how much they cost.
Six expensive habits
Each one has a cheap fix that takes about a minute.
Buying the cheapest listing of an item
When the same product sits at eight prices, the bottom one is usually a different version rather than a better deal. Look at the middle of the range and decide from there.
Ordering something that cannot fly
Perfume, aerosols, loose batteries and some powders are restricted by air carriers, and the rules differ by route and destination. Read the official restrictions page before you buy, not after the item is sitting in a warehouse in China.
Skimming the QC photos
It is the only look at the real object before the box gets expensive to move. Two minutes there saves a return that costs more than the item.
Shipping one item at a time
The fixed part of the freight gets paid once per box. Three separate parcels pay it three times.
Guessing your size from a letter
Chinese listings give measurements in centimetres and shoe sizes as a foot length in millimetres. Ask for the flat measurements.
Paying anybody outside the agent platform
If someone asks you to send money by a method that leaves no record, that is the whole scam. LoongBuy publishes an anti fraud notice about exactly this.
Fraud
The one that is genuinely a scam
Everything above is a mistake you make against yourself. This one is somebody else acting on you. The pattern is always the same: a person who is not the agent asks you to pay outside the platform, usually with a story about a discount or a faster route.
LoongBuy published an anti fraud notice on 27 April 2026 for this reason. The rule that survives every version of the scam is simple. Money goes to the agent, through the agent site, and nowhere else.
Restricted items, in plain language
Air carriers refuse categories of goods, and they do it by route. What one line carries to one country, another line refuses to another. The categories that catch beginners are liquids and perfume, aerosols, powders, anything with a loose battery, and anything flammable.
Two consequences worth knowing. A refused parcel does not simply vanish, it sits in the warehouse until you pick a route that accepts it or give up on it. And route availability changes: in June 2026 LoongBuy posted that China Post services to the twenty seven European Union countries were temporarily suspended.
What to do when something has already gone wrong
In order, because the order matters. Every step you take while the item is still in China is cheaper than the same step afterwards.
Work out where the item physically is
With the seller, in the warehouse, or in the air. Everything else follows from that, because the cheap fixes all live in the first two.
Raise it with the agent, not with the seller
The agent is the buyer of record on the Weidian order. You are not a party to that transaction, so a message to the shop achieves nothing.
Attach the QC photos and the order number
The photos are the evidence, and they are already in your account. A claim without them is an opinion.
Use the after sales section of the help centre
The official help centre has sections for after sales and claims, and for insurance and compensation. Those pages define what is possible, not us.
Questions that come up after a bad order
Short answers. Policy is set by the agent and by the carriers.
The item arrived and it is not what I ordered.
Open a claim with the agent and attach the QC photos. If the photos already showed the problem and you approved shipping anyway, you are in a much weaker position, which is the practical reason to look at them properly.
My parcel is stuck and the tracking has not moved.
Check whether the route itself has changed. Carrier suspensions are announced on the agent logistics updates page, and a stalled parcel is often a suspended line rather than a lost box.
Can I cancel after I have paid but before it ships?
Sometimes, depending on whether the seller has already dispatched. Ask immediately rather than after the domestic delivery completes.
Somebody messaged me offering a cheaper shipping deal.
That is the scam. Pay through the agent site or not at all.
